I've got some photos to share from the Unique LA show this past Mother's Day weekend! This show was amazing for us so a huge shout-out to everyone who stopped by and shopped from our booth! Folks, this weekend is the Unique LA Spring Show! This event is always a blast to participate in and judging from the throngs of people who show up each day, you guys think it is pretty neat, too! We'll be there both Saturday and Sunday at booth number #267 near the entrance, by the free drinks. Also, since Mother's Day is this Sunday, we have a very limited edition 2-color Mother's Day screenprint available at this show for just $10! You may have seen this design previously on a card and also in the window at Urbanic in Venice. There are only 15 prints in each color and when they are gone, well, they're gone! I look forward to seeing some of you this weekend at the event and please make sure to come by and say hello to us.

Yesterday I realized that in all the hustle and bustle of launching the new site that I forgot to post about a new product added to the collection. So here they are, brand new 100% cotton hand-screenprinted tea towels! The first installment features my Fox Family design re-imagined into a pattern fit for the towel. The printed area measures 12" x 18" and the entire towel measures 21" x 26". We wash/dry tested them and they do shrink 1-2" all around. They also soften so nicely after a wash. We recommend that you wash them in cold water and tumble dry low to preserve the print. They are offered in three colors: black, aqua blue, and peachy-coral. There are so many uses for these tea towels. You can use them to absorb spills, cover breads, as placemats or napkins, wrap gifts, sew into pillows, or just hang them up as decoration, even frame them! They make great housewarming gifts. You will find them here in our shop and this is just the first design, more to come!

Today, my friends, I bring you a little sneak peek of our office and screenprinting studio! I re-shot photos of these spaces for an couple interview articles so I thought I'd share then here as well! Here is a little background about the spaces:  0 COMMENTS

I've got some new pillows and a little product photography update to share! I screenprinted the Tiger, Wolf, and Honey Bear animal designs onto fabric for pillows and had a little cutting, stuffing, and sewing party on Easter ;) The result? Check them out below! Cesar and I also had a little photoshoot with the new pillows and decided to re-shoot the other animal pillows this way, too. It can be a lot of work, re-doing product photography, but we are really happy with how they came out. I feel it shows the pillow's scale a little better. Hope you'll like it, too! Another side note on ALL of the pillows- they are now larger! We have allowed for more fabric around the screenprinted images to make for some bigger pillows. Meet Elephant, Tiger, and Wolf, some new little animal friends that I've designed and screenprinted. They are added to the shop and will soon be screenprinted onto organic fabric for pillows as well. I am really enjoying illustrating these animals and I hope that you like them too. Have a favorite out of the three? Please do share!

In other news we have a new website and shop in the works (exciting!!). Much more to come on that as the design and development progresses along. Also in April we will be doing more online sales with Sneak Peeqand Fab! You won't want to miss out on the amazing deals to be had on sass&peril products. I'll be sure to let you guys know when the sales go live. Lastly, I apologize for the spotty posting as of late. I landed another contract gig with one of my favorite freelance clients so there's been a lot of nights and weekends working on the business. Sometimes I feel like I am burning the candle at both ends, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to still flex my professional "graphic design muscles" while I also work on my collection. My pace has been hindered slightly, but I'm learning to be patient because the best things in life usually take time, right?

Yep, I'm going there. I am so excited about this movie that I've gone and made you guys a free printable! If you are up to speed with these books then you're already familiar with the tagline "May the odds be ever in your favor". If you're not let me put it in context for you. See this movie is about the games, the Hunger Games to be exact. It is a fight to the death for the child participants that get chosen and is shamefully relished by the residents of the Capitol. The games are sick and twisted and everyone living in the districts outside of the Capitol knows it. The tributes, as the participants are called, have a very slim chance to be victorious. Since only one tribute will go on to win and survive the odds are not very good, hence the quote's proclamation. To be honest, I also just kind of like the way the quote sounds.
