I’m so overjoyed by everyone’s response to the free gift tags I offered and it has got me thinking of a few other freebies I could offer you guys. I’d like to start a monthly download here on the blog and would love to know your thoughts on which types of freebies you’d like to receive. I’ve posted a poll on my Facebook page so please select your favorite option or feel free to add one in. I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! 8 days till’ Christmas….eeeep!

So we recently made a big purchase for the studio (more on that in an upcoming post) and it has gotten me thinking of re-vamping and re-organizing our work space. I’m really into the Industrial Vintage look and I love wide open loft style spaces with touches of retro styling. I especially love when this look is accompanied by exposed brick and wood flooring as it adds warmth to what can come off as “cold” with the typical industrial feel. I always say that I am torn between lofts and bungalows as I like the characteristics of both. Someone recently turned me on to the modern farmhouse (here, here, and here) and I must say I think I am in love! Our current space is nowhere near the likes of a loft or a farmhouse, we do live in a cottage-style bungalow and all, but I always find that putting a ‘mood board’ together can help you accomplish the look in the spaces you have available.
As a side note, while Pinterest is awesome I’m a bit disappointed to notice images either with no credit at all or with links to someone else’s blog, not the original source of the images. I try my best to seek out the sources, but sometimes it is impossible as it is just blog after tumblr after image bookmarking site, and so on. With that being said if you know the sources to the Pinterest-linking images let me know and I’ll update them straight away. update- I used the Google Image search and it took a little digging but I found some of the sources. A few are missing but I’ll be sure to use this tool from now on for images in question!

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of working with friend and super talented photographer, Mollie Coffin, from Of A Reverie. We ventured out in Long Beach and shot some of the totes in action, and I am so excited about how these shots came out! Mollie has such a great eye for imagery and composition and her subtle treatment touches to the images really add a dreamy quality that I just love. Here are a few of the images below and you can always hop on over to flickr to view the full set and check out her tumblr page here. I’m looking forward to working with Mollie again for more lifestyle shoots for the brand!

This weekend is the Renegade LA Holiday show and it is our very last show of the year! There will be some specials going down over at our booth so if you haven’t had the chance to get out and shop for your holiday gifts, consider stopping by the show at the Los Angeles Historic State Park this weekend. There are hundreds of amazingly talented artists, free workshops, food, drinks, and much more. The show is from 10-5 each day and it is looking like it will be a nice weekend weather-wise, perfect for outdoor shopping!
Speaking of shows, UniqueLA was such a blast! Thank you to all who came out and shopped handmade and local made goods. The record was set this year with attendance, over 20,000 people!! We had so much fun talking to shoppers, seeing fellow vendors, and meeting new people. Even though we were working hard we also got a chance to get out and walk the show a bit. We saw some celebs, ate some great food, enjoyed free drinks, and got our photo snapped at the Oh Snap Photobooth, check it out below! Sonja and the team have really set the bar high for events like this and we can’t thank them all enough for their hard work! There is a great wrap-up on the State Of Unique website as well as a link to photos of the show on Flickr. Check it out!

To wrap things up, Cesar and I working away over here packing orders from our Fab sale. If you ordered something from us it will be on its way to you very soon! The studio is piled high with boxes and mailers and we can’t wait to get them filled and out the door. I’ve also got some exciting blog posts planned as well as some new designs in the works. There is much more to come once the craziness of the holidays settles down. Speaking of, has everyone gotten all their gifts!? I’m hoping to work my way down my shopping list at Renegade and with some Etsy purchases this coming week. Christmas is just around the corner, ya’ll!

** UPDATE! ** I just submitted the donation to the HSUS! Thanks so much to all who bought from me this month and helped me to give a generous gift on my birthday to this amazing organization!

I know we are 6 days into December and I had totally planned for this post to go live Dec. 1st, but with all the shows and shopping craziness I am just now getting around to it! This month is my birthday month, and since it is better to give than to receive I wanted to give a special gift come December 20th to an organization that I donate to every year, the Humane Society of the United States. I’m a huge animal lover, I mean, have you looked around my shop? Usually I donate to the HSUS in the form of a Christmas gift to my family, but this year I’m going to be buying them handmade and locally made goodies and supporting the makers behind those businesses. Of course I still want to do my usual donation so I decided to mix it up a bit and give 15% of my online sales from Dec. 1st- Dec. 20th to the Humane Society! I’m really excited about being able to support both artists and great causes this year and if you purchase from my shop you’ll also be supporting both, hooray!

I’ve been a bit quiet this week, but it is because I am prepping away for the UniqueLA Holiday Show this Saturday and Sunday! This show is truly top notch, and if you’ve ever been you understand why. The show features over 325 hand selected designers and artists, and you can shop assured knowing that everything is 100% made in the USA with most made locally here in LA. $10 at the door gets you access to both days, a collectible tote bag to store all your goodies in, free drinks (and look for us by the free drinks station!), free DIY workshops, free photo booth, and much more! The event is held at the top of the California Market Center building in the penthouse with stunning views of downtown LA. Check out our photos from the Spring show here. Sonja and the team have recently re-done their website and I just love the direction they are taking the event and their organization. Come out and say hi, we will be at booth #169 near the free drinks and the Oh Snap Photo Booth!
Where: The California Market Center (110 East Ninth Street, LA, CA 90079)
When: Dec. 3 + 4 // 11am-6pm both days
Cost: $10 at the door or in advance online (Kids 12 and under are free), 10% of ticket sales go to our great non-profit partner 826LA.

Thanksgiving is finally here and I thought what better way to give thanks in the digital format than by offering a free download? I have so many things to be thankful for this year so I wanted to give back. A little over 7 months ago I left the security of a full-time job with benefits to pursue my business and freelance career. I feel so blessed to be successful in this great leap of faith and am so grateful for everyone’s support and appreciation. So, to so thank you I am offering two very sweet deals today. First up are these adorable FREE printable gift tags for the Holidays! There are 9 designs to choose from and are the perfect companion to your beautifully packaged gifts this season.
