Yippee! I finally added the Raccoon and Pirate Kitty designs to the baby one-pieces and the kid’s tees! Also, I now offer the one-pieces in 3 different sizes: 3-6 months (NEW!), 6-12 months, and 12-18 months. A lot of you asked for the 3-6 month size so there you go :) I am also working on two new textile designs that I will be adding to the collection. They are very useful items so I can’t wait to get them all designed and screenprinted!

Oh, by the way we will be a vendor at the upcoming Unique LA Local Love show at the California Market Center on February 11 + 12. Need to get some goodies for Valentine’s Day or just do a little shopping? Come check out the event!

I’ve added some 100% hand-screenprined organic kid’s tees to the webshop and to my Etsy shop! If you’ve stopped by my booth at a show before, you’ve seen these tees. I just recently got around to getting them photographed and listed online and I wanted to share! They are available in two sizes, 2T and 4T, and are gender neutral just like the baby bodysuits. I’d also like to add that I will soon be offering the Raccoon and Pirate Kitty designs on both the baby bodysuits and the tees. I’ve gotten a lot of request for those additions and I am happy to oblige. I hope everyone is off to a great week and that you’ve all enjoyed this Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Cesar and I spent the day at the Staples Center in LA watching our LA Clippers team take on and beat the New Jersey Nets. Going to basketball games is one of our favorite things to do together. Have a fantastic week everyone!

I know what you’re thinking…really…already? Trust me, I was saying the same thing when I started designing these, but Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! I’m one of those that scoffs when I see stores putting out holiday decorations just as soon as the prior one ends, but as a product designer I am now in that boat! Well, anyhow I am very excited to share the four new cards I designed for this year’s collection. Red & blue have become two of my favorite colors to combine so I thought it would be a perfect palette for these cards. They’re not too sweet, not too serious, and not super traditional, which is right up my alley. I also had a blast styling the cards for the photoshoot, but quickly learned that I both love and hate glitter all at once. I’ll be finding those little sparkling red dots all over my studio for weeks to come I’m sure of it.
Click each image to see them in the webshop, or you can pick them up on Etsy here. Well, I hope everyone is off to a great Monday! Have a wonderful week!

It is the middle of the week so I thought I’d update everyone on what is going down over here at the sass&peril HQ!
First off, Patchwork Long Beach was awesome! Yes, it rained all during setup and it was cold at first, but at 11:00 the sun came out and the day was a blast! It is always so much fun meeting all of you and getting to put a face to the names of my favorite vendors, bloggers, tweeps, and shoppers. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hello! This Sunday we are at it again but this time with Patchwork in Culver City. The forecast calls for rain yet again, but guess what? The event is now indoors! We are booth #78 in the Washington Room of the Helms Bakery. Looking forward to another fun-filled weekend of Patchworkin’!

Next I’d like to share a brand new item that I just added to the webshop and Etsy. I debuted these cards at Patchwork this past weekend and am happy to finally have them up online. This “Pattern Series” Stationery 8-pack features a hand-drawn and hand-screenprinted Southwestern motif. There are 8 cards in the pack, 2 of each color. Since they are sold in “bulk” each card is a mere $3.25. That is a savings of $1.75 per card so stock up or give a pack as a gift for the Holidays!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!

Wow, so I have a lot to share! I have designed, screenprinted, photographed, and added 7 new cards to the shop. And speaking of online storefronts….I have opened my very own online shop! That’s right, you can now purchase directly from me. I am still keeping my Etsy shop, but I will eventually have everything on my website seamlessly integrated into the new sass&peril shop. Please pardon my virtual dust as I work on getting all this coded but I am very excited about having a one stop shop via my site!
I’m also happy to announce that we’ve been accepted into Unique LA’s Holiday Show at the California Market Center, December 3 + 4! This show has been such a blast to do and I have had the opportunity to meet so many great people, both buyers and vendors alike! To view our full pop-up shop schedule for the next two months check out the events page. Hope to see you at a show soon!
I hope everyone is off to a great start this week, Happy Monday!

This little dude is now available on a tote bag! Now you can keep a close eye on him, he’s sneaky little critter. ;)

Lastly, here’s a sneak peek of a screen loaded up with brand new card designs! I am in the process of printing them now. There will be a big card-filled shop update soon so keep a lookout, although you can bet I’ll post about it here. I’m good like that.

I’ve just listed the option to create your own pack of holiday cards from my 2011 collection! It’s a 6-pack for the Holidays, (hehe)! You may choose 6 cards for $22.50, which is a savings of $1.25 per card, 25% off!! I’m also offering the ability to choose your own colors for a card pack if you choose 6 of the same design. For example, you like the “Joy, Peace and Love”card but you want your 6 cards printed in red, no problem. Just allow 5 days for custom color orders. I don’t get to offer custom colors a lot so take advantage of it!

And just for kicks, ever wondered what the underside of a cat looks like?

You’re welcome. Happy Caturday! (and yes I realize it is Sunday, but I missed posting this yesterday so just pretend!)

I did a little interview with the Australian based Finders Keepers as part of their International Artists feature! Check it out —-> Interview

Also, I’ve listed a brand new screenprint in the shop! This one is called “Owl Friends” and is 12.5″ x 16″, making it poster-sized and much larger than the prints I usually do. The inspiration behind this design is what I call “Scandinavian-Woodland” with simple, clean shapes, bright colors, and forest-dwelling creatures. This design will also be part of the 2012 Owl Lovers Calendar but in a much different colorway. The screenprint features turquoise, peach, and light gray inks on recycled white paper by French Paper and is limited to just 32 prints.

I just listed two new cards in the shop: A Donut Card and Raccoon Card! Many people have requested the donut design as a card so here it is, and of course the Raccoon is just too darn cute not to have in a mini size. So there you go! Two new two-color cards and just in time for the Abbot Kinney Festival on Sunday!

I am very pleased to officially bring you my 2011 Holiday Card Collection! Ready for the Holiday Season yet? Yah, me neither but in the stationery world you have to be on top of these things months ahead. So I got busy designing and screenprinting these cards while the weather here in Southern California ranged from a blistering 90 degrees to a lovely 70 degrees. Winter weather it was not so I cranked up the holiday tunes and put myself in the “mood”. Here are the results of my labor, 5 brand new cards and one previous design refreshed with a new color. All are available in my Etsy shop now!
